Come see our MIFA Competition Shows!

This year we are performing both a comedy and drama show for our MIFA competition season!
Show Synopsis
Mrs. Packard: Elizabeth Packard, a woman who is unjustly placed in a mental institution by her husband in the 1860s, fights to ensure better treatment for the women who are in the Jacksonville Insane Asylum. This play, based on a true story, tells the empowering history of mental health reform during the mid-1800s and portrays the treatment women of this time were subjected to through an all-female cast.
The Bald Soprano: This absurdist show is set in 1970s London and features nonsensical dialogue between two couples, a maid, and a fire captain. It is full of cliches and misconceptions as the playwright was attempting to learn English at the time in which the play was written. Full of laughs and characters breaking the fourth wall, The Bald Soprano challenges the traditional structure of a play and societal norms.
